April 6-7 2024 - El Paso, TX

Embark on a transformative journey in photography with the esteemed Judy I. Francis at Railyard Studio, El Paso, Texas. This workshop, taking place on April 6th and 7th, is tailored for photographers looking to enhance their skills in client preparation, nude photography, posing, lighting, and business insights.

A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot. Final payment is required before you will be allowed to take your seat at the workshop. Please plan accordingly. Payment can be submitted via paypal or cash at the event.  


What is the workshop about?

Day 1: Mastering Client Preparation and Nude Photography

  • Morning Session: Begin with crucial insights into preparing clients before a photography session, focusing on how to establish comfort and trust, especially for nude photography.

  • Midday Session: Learn Judy's techniques for getting clients relaxed for nudity sessions. This includes creating a safe, respectful environment and using communication to ease any apprehension.

  • Afternoon Session: Delve into the art of posing and lighting. Judy will guide you through various poses, demonstrating how lighting can be used to accentuate form and create the desired mood.

  • Evening Q/A: A session dedicated to answering your queries, offering a deeper understanding of the day's learnings.

Day 2: Advanced Posing, Portfolio Building, and Business Insights

  • Morning Session: Continue exploring advanced techniques in posing and lighting. Gain hands-on experience with Judy’s guidance to perfect your skills.

  • Midday Session: Shift focus to portfolio building. Learn how to select and present your best work, enhancing your professional image.

  • Afternoon Session: Gain valuable insights into the business side of photography. Judy will discuss the pros and cons of digital versus print in In-Person Sales (IPS) and how to effectively market your services.

  • Evening Q/A: Conclude with a final Q/A session, where Judy addresses your questions, helping you integrate these insights into your practice.

What to bring?

Bring your camera, lenses, a notepad, and a mind ready to learn for day one. Although not required, you are encouraged to bring a computer system with Photoshop installed with all current updates applied. While Judy will not be covering post-processing, having a computer and bringing your current pricing is encouraged for the business portion of the workshop. The internet can be tricky in the warehouse, so please update before arrival.

We typically host this mixer in a convenient location, often in a cozy spot right in the vicinity of the workshop venue, so you won't have to worry about transportation. The workshop is $490… nope I didn’t miss a zero! In order to hold your spot in this very small and intimate workshop, a $200 nonrefundable deposit is needed. The remaining fees are required before taking your seat at the workshop.
